Hilary is a qualified and certified hypnotherapy supervisor. She supervises new and practising hypnotherapists on a one to one or group basis; either face to face or by phone. She also runs action learning for groups and workshops for her colleagues include action learning in rapid induction, NLP techniques, an exciting new course exploring confidence and self esteem, and specialist training, enabling hypnotherapists to tackle problem gambling. Peer Group Supervision If you are an experienced hypnotherapist, you may be eligible for our peer group. We meet on a 2/3 monthly basis. Contact Hilary for further details. Training For Future Hypnotherapists. Hilary, who apart from being an experienced full time practising hypnotherapist, is also a qualified teacher and Director of The Bath/Bristol branch of The UK Academy. This is an 11 module course, run over 10 weekends, and the next Bath/Bristol weekend course starts in November 2009 or alternatively January 2010. One day a week courses start throughout the year. To download a full prospectus, detailing all course requirements and the curriculum please click on the icon =>Course Dates: The next weekend course starts in November 2009, 10.00 - 17.00 on Saturday and Sunday for one weekend a month, to give ample time for completion of assignments. The last course finished in June 2009. Provisional Dates For Weekend Course 2009-2010, to take place in Bath. 07/08 November 2009 12/13 December 2009 16/17 January 2010 13/14 February 2010 13/14 March 2010 10/11 April 2010 08/09 May 2010 05/06 June 2010 July and August dates to be determined later. Alternatively, you may opt to start in January 2010. The fast track version of this course, one day a week for 20 weeks, starts November 2009 and January 2010. A fast track training course has just finished. The next course will start in November 2009 on either a Tuesday or Wednesday . A further fast track starts in January 2010 Prospective applicants please enquire for further details. To gain a place on the course you need A Level qualifications or equivalent, to pass an interview, submit a cv and write a short statement of your personal philosophy. To secure a place a deposit of £180 is required upon a successful interview result. The course costs £1800 and includes the HPD (Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma)qualification as accredited by the National Council For Hypnotherapy and externally verified by the NCFE, an NLP certification and specialist certification in Treating Anxiety,Smoking Cessation and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy Practitioner. A list of recommended books is available upon request, which is the only extra financial outlay, together with registration for the HPD exam (currently £9) and during training students are entitled to trainee membership of The National Council For Hypnotherapy and supervision from Hilary. There is no end exam but to successfully obtain the qualification students are observed throughout the course and submit a portfolio of work at the end of the course.The qualifications gained are Dip Cah( Diploma In Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy ) from UK Academy, HPD( Hypnotherapy Practitoner Diploma)externally validated by NCFE( NVQ Level 4) and accredited by NCH( National Council for Hypnotherapy) and PNLP upon completion of extra NLP assignments. Upon completion of the course students gain a free one year membership of NGH ( National Guild of Hypnotists, USA), thus gaining international recognition. If you wish to have a first hand account of the course, Hilary will happily put you in touch with an ex-student. Ex students have included a medical doctor, dental practitioners,psychiatrist, teacher and NHS professional worker, so the calibre of students is high. You will need to adopt a rigorous and thorough approach to your learning. The UK Academy does not claim to train psychotherapists, whereas some schools use this term. It is The UK Academy's opinion that, despite there being no legislation of this term as yet, the term 'psychotherapist' should be used only by those who are registered by the UK Council For Psychotherapy . To be so requires 4 years of post graduate training in psychotherapy. Hilary is currently a Psychotherapist In Training, so is experienced in this area. Please contact Hilary for further details.
